Concrete Mix Design
Calculator
Excel-based tool that automatically computes concrete ingredient quantities based on desired strength
I have developed an Excel-based mix design calculator that automatically computes the required quantities of concrete ingredients based on the desired strength. It follows the principles of IS10262:2019 and IS456:2000 and provides quick, accurate, and user-friendly results.
Nominal Mix
Nominal mixes are pre-determined proportion ratios of cement, sand, and aggregates used for concrete grades up to M20.
| Grade | Cement | Sand | Aggregate |
|---|---|---|---|
| M10 | 1 | 3 | 6 |
| M15 | 1 | 2 | 4 |
| M20 | 1 | 1.5 | 3 |
Design Mix
Design mix is the scientific method of proportioning concrete ingredients based on laboratory testing for grades above M20.
Water-Cement Ratio = Target Strength / (Cement × 0.5)
